Establishment of the Interinstitutional Committee for the Central Bank Recapitalization

 

The Interinstitutional Committee for the Central Bank Recapitalization was established in Chapter VI of the Implementing Regulations of Law No. 167-07 (Decree No. 702-07). It is conformed –from the Central Bank- by the Monetary Program Department Director, the Finance Department Director, the Treasurer and any other officer designated by the Central Bank Governor, and -from the Ministry of Finance-, by the Treasury Subsecretary, the Public Credit General Director, and any other official designated by the Ministry of Finance. In the Article 4.2 of the Decree, the Commission Presidency was assigned to the Public Credit General Office, while the Ministry was allocated to the Finance Department of the Central Bank.

 The first reunion of the Committee was held on May 14 last year.
