  • The International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) is a code that uniquely identifies a security. It is a 12-character alphanumeric code, and whose structure is defined in ISO 6166. It does not contain information regarding the financial instrument, it’s used as the number that identifies each security at trading and settlement.
